Thank you for visiting my "bio" page.

My first trip to Rocky Point was in 1981. I had just moved from Detroit, Michigan to Phoenix, Arizona in search of warm weather and a change of lifestyle. I had been working in the automobile industry in Detroit, and on the weekends I was  beginning to get my feet wet, (literally) learning to sail. I never imagined how sailing was going to change my life! By the time I arrived in Phoenix, I had raced on many sizes of sailboats and had sailed in many different venues. England, Canada, Florida, the East coast and of course all of the Great Lakes. I realized that once I started wearing snowmobile suits and  was racing ice boats in 0 degree temps, my passion was really taking hold. That's when I decided to sell everything, quit my job, and "go west young man". My vision was warm water, sandy beaches and fair winds.

I landed in Phoenix, Az., found work at a local sailboat shop, joined the local sailing fleet and began living life as it came to me. I sailed, rode horses, hiked, camped, played hockey, biked and sailed some more. I opened a business specializing in sailboats in Tempe in "88" and sold it in "98". During this time I continued to sail in championship races across the U.S. from California to Florida, through the midwest and all the way to Hawaii!  Puerto Penasco, Mexico was also on the sailing schedule, and I never missed a chance to vist this quiet fishing town. Little did I know, that this beach town with never ending sandy beaches would hold me it it's wonderful embrace for 10 years!

In "99" my wife and I moved permanently to Puerto Penasco, Mexico. We bought a large catamaran sailboat and started a charter business. We did sunset cruises, whale watching, dolphin watching and snorkleing excursions for 4 years. At this time, the beginning of the condo projects on Sandy Beach were just taking hold. Many beautiful resorts were being constructed and while sailing by, our clients would have questions on the condos. It was only a natural progression for us to explore the real estate market. So, in 2004 Heather and I quit the sailing business to begin the "saleing" business!! 

We still get out sailing and we love living in Puerto Penasco. We have been adopted by 2 mexican cats and 1 dog.
